Hotel Mestre Afonso Domingues (Batalha, Portugal)

at the hotel surroundings there’s a pedestrian area with a stone floor and soft access ramps until the D. Nuno Álvares Pereira Statue and the Batalha Monastery surrounding area. At the access until the hotel main doors, there’s a 5 to 6cm step followed by another one at the door, but with less than 5cm. In both steps a movable ramp is placed.

Inside: the entrance door is in glass, light and manual. There’s a high receptions counter, but there is also a desk for check-in. There’s a totally adapted WC near the receptions, for the hotel and restaurant clients. It is possible to circulate this entire floor, where we can also find the bar, the living room and the restaurant.

Adapted room: the access to the room is made by elevator, with accessible buttons, also in Braille. It has a safe, a mini bar and some drawers accessible. There’s an alarm near by the double bed. The WC is totally equipped, it has a wide shower base with two lateral handrails, allowing the wheelchair to enter. The shower is adjustable is height and there’s a peripheral alarm system.
